A Celebration of Wooden Boating…..
Clayton, New York - Antique Boat Canada and Antique Boat America today announced that they will be hosting the 2013 Wooden Boat Conference and seminar series. The first event will be held in Kingston, Ontario, Canada on April 5th and 6th, 2013 and will bring together the most notable guest speakers in the Antique and Classic boat market today.
“This event has established itself as a foundation of education and industry partnership and these factors continue to drive it’s growth. We expect these days to be informative, educational and invigorating”
- Peter Mellon, President of Antique Boat America.
A first class educational line up will be the key feature of the symposium and will include a full slate of educational sessions, workshops as well as boating related activities. Of special interest will be a stream of Canadian themed presentations as well as seminars focused on specific facets of restoration.
“Feedback from previous events have helped design the format for this conference. As in the past we have worked very hard to design this event based specifically on what the attendees have been requesting”, explained
Mark Krzyzanowski, Executive Director of the Antique Boat America. We believe, that we are bringing to the Antique Boat Community a series of presentations that will educate and enlighten this group and are very excited to open our doors. The various hosts shall serve as the perfect backdrop and will grant access to many exhibits not previously seen and to all of the boats in their collection.
The event will also serve as a forum for many of the key marquee organizations in Canada and the United States. They will all convene as a group and facilities will be provided for these various parties. Host hotels in Kingston, Ontario will provide accomodations as well as evening activities.
The events will be the perfect combination of Networking, Education, Exhibits and collaboration with the spectacular 1000 Islands and St. Lawrence river as our backdrop. We expect this to be the most significant event of the year related to the hobby of Antique and Classic boats said Peter Mellon, President, Antique Boat America.
